Cuban dancer Miguel has a bachelor’s degree in dance and pedagogy from the Norwegian Dance Academy, and has many years of experience as both a dancer and an instructor, in Cuba and in Norway. He entered the artist team at Oslo Caribbean Festival in 2020, and his classes were bursting with energy!!

In Cuba he was soloist dancer in the cabaret “Compania Wilfredo figueredo”. In Norway he was part of the Tabanka crew for several years, which is the largest company in Scandinavia that focuses on African and Caribbean dance. From Tabanka he moved on to the company Show de vida, touring around Norway and Europe with their spectacular performances. He has performed on National stages such as the Norwegian Opera, Dansens Hus and the Den Nasjonale Scene.

Miguel was a very popular salsa instructor with SalsaNor for several years, and now he has his own RHYTHM dance studio in Oslo. He uses his technique and knowledge when teaching, spreading his good mood, desire to dance and quality of movement. Dance styles he teaches are salsa, reggaeton, salsa, cuban mambo, bachata and jazz ballet.
