Oslo Caribbean Festival proudly presents

Mario Acea (Cuba)

Cuban dancer Mario Acea was teaching at Oslo Caribbean Festival in 2016, and we are thrilled to have him back. Since then he has moved to the Canary Islands in Spain, where he is doing a great job building a new community of cuban style dancers, working as a dancer teacher and also doing shows. Mario is known for his fun and energetic classes, and for being such a great social dancer at the parties.

Mario was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and trained as a professional dancer in Cuba. SalsaNor met him for the first time when he was the main dancer and choreographer for El Ballet Folklorico de Trinidad (the folkloric ballet company of Trinidad) back in 2012. After this SalsaNor have been working with him continuously as he has been involved with several of our festivals, dance holidays and our video platform rueda.casino.

If you are into Cubans dances, you have a lot to look forward to when Mario is joining the Oslo Caribbean Festival this year! Make sure to attend some of his classes, and to get at least one dance with him at the parties. Many of you already know him from the years he lived in Norway and was teaching all over the country.
