25-27 of October we are celebrating the 10th and final edition of the Oslo Caribbean Festival. 10 years of tropical heat when the cold winter is just about to start in Oslo, with live concerts of salsa and Kizomba, workshops, panel debates, dance shows, art exhibitions and lots and lots of social dancing. It has been a true joy to create and carry out this event, and we invite all of you back for an amazing, final event the last weekend of October.
The festival will take place at the two venues that we have been using most of the 10 years, being wonderful Riksscenen on Friday 25th, and then the beautiful Sentralen Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th, finishing off with the Sunday party in collaboration with Salsaga at Lawo.
Both LIVE acts are ready: the full salsa orchestra Yemi Valdes & the Real Cuban Sound will be entering the main stage at Riksscenen om the Friday, with dis playing also on other dance floors for everyone to be able to find their favourite music style to dance to. On Saturday we kick off the masquerade night with a tropical warm-up concert with Dora Sowlo before Showtime and then social dance on 3 different dance floors. There are in total no less than 20 artists and 5 show groups at the festival this year; as always we are showing off a fine selection of our local instructors and dis in Norway, and of course we have also invited a few international artists! There are various festival passes available, couple pass, single pass and ladies pass. All the main passes includes also the concerts, dance shows and parties.
A Party Pass will be available mid September. Concert and party tickets will also be sold individually.
